Personal, Social, Health and Emotional Education
PSHE Education (Personal, Social, Health and Emotional Education) is a planned programme of learning through which children acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to successfully manage their lives – now and in the future. At Christ Church, we teach PSHE as a whole-school approach, underpinned by our school values, to support children’s capacity for learning and to encourage them to become healthy, happy individuals
Our aims:
How is PSHE taught at Christ Church?
At Christ Church PSHE is taught through the Jigsaw Scheme of Work. Jigsaw is a whole-school approach which brings together PSHE Education, compulsory Relationships and Health Education, emotional literacy, mindfulness, social skills and spiritual development. All year groups explore the same theme (Puzzle) at the same time, working at their own level to deepen and broaden their learning with each year.
