We want our children to love coming to school and to feel happy, cared for and valued by all.
At Christ Church Primary School it is our aim that all pupils enjoy their individual learning journey. We have a culture of caring and nurturing, where our dedicated staff encourage and support each child to reach their full potential. We are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils and staff at Christ Church.
We foster attitudes of courtesy, thoughtfulness and a sense of responsibility for each individual’s own life and for the lives of people around them. We are a forward-thinking school that relishes the opportunities and embraces the challenges of the modern world. This is what makes us a flourishing school, of which we’re all very proud to be a part.
We follow a whole school programme called ‘Jigsaw’. Jigsaw combines PSHE, emotional literacy, mindfulness, social skills and spiritual development. Jigsaw is designed as a whole school approach, with all year groups working on the same theme (Puzzle) at the same time.
Child voice is very important and helps build strong relationships across the school. We have a very active school council, an Eco team and a collective worship council that are support our school values and sense of community at Christ Church.
We have a very successful buddy system where our oldest children help support our youngest children in school.
Our pupil and staff relationships are very important at Christ Church and something we believe is of paramount importance to developing the whole child.
