The Year 5 children have absolutely loved their learning this week, focussing on computing and DT.

There’s been a definite buzz of excitement as they’ve used their microbits to make animations, programme polling devices and create pedometers.

They've been busy chopping, grating, slicing and stirring their vegetable bologneses and we witnessed some great “claw grips” and “bridge holds” as the children practised their cutting skills safely. Hopefully they all enjoyed the taste of their sauce when they got home!

In maths. Year 5 have been learning about fractions and decimal equivalents. Their challenge one lesson was to match the fractions and decimals to create a pyramid. We were really impressed by their determination and resilience to master this task.
