Year 2 - Continents and Oceans
In Year 2 we have continued to learn about money and how we can make different amounts using different combinations of coins and notes. We’ve got really good at it but it would be great to get more practise using real money at home!
We have also become fabulous storytellers. We have learnt the story of Lila and the Secret of Rain through actions and drama and have retold it in our own words remembering to include all the wonderful description that is in the original version of the story.
In Geography this week we have been learning about the continents and oceans that make up our world. We have learned some songs to help us remember them! We also used atlases and looked at maps on the internet to locate the places that we’ve been learning about.
