Year 5 - Viking Day

This week, Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic Viking Day. Adults and peers were wowed at the efforts that had been put into preparing for the day, Viking costumes and accessories looked absolutely amazing and homework projects were stunning!
“Making the clay dragon head was very fun, even though it was challenging I enjoyed it a lot and I am pleased with how mine turned out,” said Esther.
“I enjoyed making the Viking boats, it was lots of fun,” said Bertie.
“My boat is very long. I enjoyed using the glue gun and the handsaw to create my masterpiece,” said Leon.
“My Viking shield was really fun to make, I needed help from my mum and I am really proud of it,” said Bella.
“My favourite part was sculpting my dragon head, I cannot wait to show my mum and dad,” said Gwen.
“I had a lovely time doing my Viking longhouse with my mum, my favourite part was painting the roof and putting the hay on top of it,” said Leah.
“I really loved sewing the sail for my boat,” said Ban.
“I really enjoyed the sewing and I have learned how to sew quickly and well,” said Cara.
