This week Year 1 wrapped up our Under the Sea topic with a visit from marine biologist Professor Steve Simpson. We learned all about the fascinating ways that fish communicate through sound and discovered that coral reefs produce different sounds depending on the wildlife living within them. We practised some of the signals used on a dive and had a sneak peek into how some of the scenes from Blue Planet 2 were filmed.  Year 1 came up with so many fantastic questions to ask and came away buzzing from everything they learned. In RE this week, we have been learning about the festival of Diwali and how it is celebrated. We designed our own Rangoli patterns and Leiaa shared with 1AN the story of Rama and Sita. Year 1 have had an amazing first term and they should all be so proud of their hard work. Well done Year 1!
