We’ve had a very scientific week in Year 3. We have been learning all about forces, including magnetism and friction. The children conducted an experiment to see which objects were magnetic or non-magnetic; their predictions were very accurate! On Thursday, the children made kites with a paper clip on the top, then used a magnet to show that no contact is needed for the force of magnetism to work. We found the magnets a little strong for the paper clip, but the children were very engaged in their learning. We are looking forward to a week of sketching, painting and harvest next week.
