Grayson Perry’s Art Club is considered by some as one of the TV gems of Lockdown, I caught part of Episode 2 in which Grayson was selecting animals for his gallery that capture the essence of lockdown. He chose this painting of an emu sent to him by Liza Donoghue. Grayson and Liza discussed how the emu looks a little bit scared, frightened and maybe fed up but he is determined, facing his challenges head on and not burying his head in the sand like an ostrich. In order to find our path out of lockdown we need to find our collective inner emu. Keep going everyone.

You may like to try some of the Chronicle episode ideas or go back and do some of the activities from previous weeks that you didn’t have chance to do.
Just a reminder to access the White Rose answers via the pdfs on our website for some reason the answers don’t appear if accessed via Szapp.

Update on Government’s announcement to re-open schools from 1st June
Since my letter dated 12th May, further guidance documents have been released by the Department for Education through the week. We have begun to make practical steps in areas of planning that we are sure of. We have sought information from parents/carers of children in Reception, Years 1 and 6 to find out likely numbers of children who would attend school. Next week we will continue to work through Health and Safety guidance to consider a provision at our school. In order to manage expectation at this point in time it likely that school will gradually open to those year groups not all at once on 1st June. I will continue to communicate as plans progress.
